In the wake of Hurricane Helene and the 2024 General Election, it was clear western North Carolina needed a media outlet which catered specifically to the faith-family-freedom heritage of these Blue Ridge Mountains.

​Welcome to Blue Ridge Liberty Radio, an internet streaming radio station, broadcasting 24-7, and tailored to the biblical, political, and musical interests of North Carolina's 16 western most counties.

About Us

​​Blue Ridge Liberty Radio (BRL) is operated in Brevard, N.C., and making use of Radio.co infrastructure. Programming on BRL is provided by more than a dozen conservative sources: The Carolina Journal News Hour, Radio Free Hillsdale, the intersection of faith and culture with the WallBuilders team of David Barton, Rick Green, and Tim Barton, and renowned national and local guest talk-show hosts.

BRL is an aggregator of conservative audio focused on North Carolina and its General Assembly, rather than federal news and politics. Secondarily, BRL will offer educational programs which emphasize conservative principles, and the beauty of our 250-year American Experiment and constitutional republic. BRL holds all licenses (ASCAP, BMI, SoundExchange) to play copyrighted music.

Management

​Former Transylvania County Republican Party chairman Jeff Brewer is BRL station manager. He worked for 30 years in the sports media industry and seven years as adjunct faculty at the University of Akron (Ohio), Kent State University, A-B Tech Community College, and Blue Ridge Community College before retiring in 2020. Brewer is a member of Sons of the American Revolution (SAR) and its Color Guard, tracing his ancestry to Bunker Hill Colonel Jonathan Brewer of Framingham and Waltham, Mass.
